Davidson Independence Day

Event Activities

Every year, the Town of Davidson celebrates Independence Day by inviting community members to join us in a Patriotic Stroll. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this year will include special musical performances, festivities, and more! 

Patriotic Stroll

All participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire and to decorate their wagons, bicycles, strollers, and pets in red, white, and blue. A color guard comprised of members of the Davidson Police and Fire departments will lead the community up South Street onto Main Street to the Town Green.

Fireworks 

There are no fireworks in Davidson. The Davidson Police Department reminds residents to remember the safety of themselves and that of their neighbors. Per the North Carolina General Statute, fireworks are strictly prohibited for personal use.
