Playland Indoor Playground + Cafe Has an Awesome Playground

Grab a delicious latte or coffee and hang out in the cafe area while your kids roll around in the ball pit, explore the two-story play structure and tunnel system, or take a tumble down the power tower at the Playland Indoor Playground + Cafe in Pineville.

We have visited several play areas all across the Southeast, and both my husband and I agreed that the Pineville Playland location was one of the cleanest and most creative. The indoor playground contains a colorful two-story play structure that has it all. Slides, hidden obstacle courses, a large ball pit with a spectacular alien spaceship that rains down balls, and so much more.

My 3-year-old was obsessed with the ball pit, and my six-year-old of course had a favorite, the power tower, where she spent at least an hour of our time tumbling through the elastic bands from the second floor down. My husband and I were even able to be a part of the play fun, and we saw lots of parents enjoying the structure with their kids, going down the slide together and climbing through tunnels.

One of the best things about this venue is that it is not overwhelming in size. It is great for a couple of hours of play and exploration, but you do not have to worry too much about losing sight of your kids. There are plenty of places for parents to sit, and even from the cafe area, you will be able to see your kids while they play.

A Section Designed Just for Babies and Toddlers

Your younger children will love the toddler-friendly zone! There is a ride on the merry-go-round, a mini play structure with a slide, and several other unique play equipment pieces that even the youngest adventures can enjoy. The layout of the toddler area allows parents to sit along a seated area on the outside of the section if they would like to while their kids play, or join in on the fun!

Birthday Party Packages at Playland

Playland Pineville offers four different birthday party packages, each with its perks. Parties include admission for 10+ children, and you have the option to choose between Weekday, Weekend, Supreme, or renting out the entire venue. Weekday parties start at $250 for 2 hours of party time, and pricing for general parties (where the public will also be admitted) goes up to $525. The cost to rent the venue is $800-$1400. For birthday parties, outside food is allowed to be brought into the venue, along with decorations.

Cafe Offerings

For parents and caregivers, Playland is also part cafe! They serve a variety of sweet treats, drinks, and light meals. I enjoyed their iced lavender latte, and their espresso was perfectly brewed. They also have a fridge full of a variety of drinks that are kid-appropriate, along with food items and prepackaged snacks. Just a reminder, no outside food and drinks are allowed into the venue.

Cost of Admission

Playland Indoor Playground + Cafe has several pricing options depending on the day of the week. Admission is for 2 hours of playtime. For weekdays (Monday – Thursday), admission is $14.99 and a second sibling is $12.99. Friday – Sunday (and holidays), admission is $16.99/$14.99 for an additional sibling. Admission includes free admission for 2 adults. If additional adult tickets are needed (or a child 11 and older will be at the venue), the cost is $5.99-$10.99 depending on if it is a weekday or weekend.

Special promotions include 50% off on Thursdays when you wear your Playland T-shirt. They also have a 50% off for the last hour of play, just be sure to check their hours before going to the venue in case they are hosting a private event.

For weekend tickets, you must reserve ahead of time. Typically, it is not an issue. However, Playland releases tickets on Wednesday for the upcoming weekend. If you plan to meet up as a larger group, purchasing ahead of time may be a good idea!
