We reserved a spacious pontoon boat about two weeks ahead of time (highly recommend doing this if you’re aiming for a weekend or holiday). When we arrived, the boat was clean, fueled, and ready to go—talk about easy!
Before we headed out, the Freedom Boat Club team:
- Answered all our questions
- Helped us get loaded up
- Made sure we were set with life jackets and basic safety info
- Let us use the restroom in their office (very appreciated with kids on board!)
The pontoon itself looked almost brand new and was super roomy. We had plenty of space to stretch out, stash our gear, and just enjoy the ride. Honestly, it was one of the most relaxing boating experiences we’ve had.
We rented the 22 ft pontoon boat, but there are around 75 different options at the Lake Norman Freedom Boat Club location. You could choose anything from pontoons to wake‑surf boats, fishing boats, and even double‑deckers with slides.
