STEM Summer Camps: Charlotte, NC

Summer camp for rising Kindergarten through 6th graders.
Campers will enjoy STEM activities, field trips, water days, art, sports, and socialization.

Camps are full day, with aftercare available.

There are lots of weekly summer camps to choose from at Covenant Day School. There are camps available with both full day and half day options for all ages. Topics include Art, soccer, basketball, volleyball, spots, College Admissions, sewing, theatre, band baking, science, and more.

Mad Science is a science enrichment organization that brings fun science lessons and experiments to birthday parties & schools. They also offer summer camps and workshops. They offer several birthday party packages and add-ons.

Enjoy the great outdoors while playing and learning all at the same time. Camps run weekly June – August for ages 4 – 18.

Wildcat Summer Camp offers a wide variety of themed summer camps for kids in K through 8th grade. Camps are offered both half-day and full-day throughout the summer. Campers do not have to be students at the school.

This natural history museum offers dinosaurs, minerals, critters, and a planetarium in its indoor museum. You will also find outdoor activities at the museum as well.

The museum offers free entry on the 2nd Tuesday of each month!

Summer camp at Schiele Museum offers week-long or summer-long camps for kids ages 6 to 6th grade. Camps are full day from 9 am – 4 pm.

Offers project-based STEAM camps for ages 5 – 14 years old in exploration of LEGOS.
The camp focuses on math, engineering, science, and real-world problem-solving.

Summer camps are available in central NC and the Charlotte metro area.

Challenge Island offers STEM-based camps for kids ages 5-12.
Camps offer various themes and challenges and are highly interactive.
Full and half-day camps are available

Science Camps at Discovery Place Science are available for rising Kindergarten through 6th grade, with June and July options available.
Camps are full-day with extended care available.

Birthday party packages are available, including party themes like ” Our Ocean Friends”, ” Science of Super Villians”, and “Shocking Science” for ages 3 – 12. Animal meet and greet add-ons are available.

The IMAX theatre at Discovery Place Science offers multiple showings per day, with several options to choose from.

Offers walk-in and DIY art programs, art birthday parties, workshops, art classes, and summer camps.

Summer camps are half-day or full-day, with STEAM based themes.

Fort Mill Summer Camp

Central Piedmont Community College offers a wide variety of summer camps for kids from elementary through high school. You’ll find camps that explore careers, art camps, app development, coding, and lots more! Half-day and full-day options, grades 4 through 12.

Summer at Providence offers a wide variety of both full-day and half-day camps for kids that cover a wide variety of themes. Kids can choose week-long camps like traditional summer play camps, soccer, football, technology, tennis, crafts, theater, and more. Summer at Providence is open to kids 4 through 18 years old.

Weeklong camps with a wide range of themes for kids. Camp options are broken down by age or grade and include topics and themes like traditional day camp, various sports camps including football, volleyball and soccer, various arts and crafts camps like crochet and papaermache, STEM camps, automotive repair, cooking, theatre, math, babysitter training and so much more.

Interactive children’s museum with STEAM activities, live shows, daily events, and exhibitions. They also offer summer camps, birthday parties, and more. Their birthday party package is $13.80 per attendee and includes 20 kids and 5 adults. The package includes 1.5 hours in the party room, a t-shirt, and more. You can request a birthday party on their website.

iD Tech, in connection with Davidson College, will offer overnight and day camps from June 17 – July 26, 2024

Camps are 1 week long and include coding, Roblox camp, Java coding camp, Battlebots, and many more.
Ages 7 -17 are welcome.

A variety of summer camp for rising 1st grade through 8th grade. Topics that may be explored include STEM, space, theatre, and more. Niner Academy is for high school students and explores a variety of accelerated programs.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is a museum for all things NASCAR. They have special events, guided tours, interactive exhibits, and much more.

The museum offers summer camps, Spring Break camps, and camps throughout the year where children learn about NASCAR, engineering, hands-on experiments, and more.
Summer camps are for grades K – 9th grade, with week long camps in June and July.

Idea Lab Kids offers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, & Art) activities in a fun environment at their studio and mobile programs. They offer hands on classes that teach real-world skills. Idea Lab Kids offers after school programs, birthday parties, summer camps, homeschool programs, and more. You can choose from several birthday party packages on their website.
