Looking for a park that keeps everyone in the family happy — from toddlers to teens (and tired parents too)?

Country Park in Greensboro, NC, checks all the boxes with scenic trails, multiple playgrounds, paved stroller-friendly paths, and even ponds where your kids can feed the ducks.

And here’s a big bonus: it’s right next door to the Greensboro Science Center, so you can make it a full day of fun without ever moving your car! Our tip is to park at the Science Center and walk down to Country Park.

Why Families Love Country Park

This park is packed with kid-approved fun and thoughtful touches that make outings easy for caregivers. Whether you’re planning a laid-back picnic or an action-packed day of exploring, Country Park is set up to support families of all sizes and ages.

Here’s what makes it such a local favorite:

  • Paved trails throughout the park that are perfect for strollers, scooters, and new walkers
  • Multiple playgrounds, including ones great for both little ones and older kids
  • Clean and easily accessible bathrooms located right by the toddler playground area
  • Scenic walking paths and footbridges with views of several ponds and wooded areas
  • Docks and feeding areas where your kids can get up close to ducks (bring some peas!)
  • Plenty of picnic shelters and tables — great for birthday parties or weekend lunches

It’s one of those rare parks where everyone can find something they love — even if that’s just a shady bench to relax on.

Walk to the Greensboro Science Center

One of the best parts of Country Park? You can walk directly to the Greensboro Science Center from inside the park!

There’s a paved greenway path that connects the two spots — so if your crew still has energy after playing at the park, head over to explore the aquarium, zoo, or museum exhibits at the Science Center. Or do it the other way around and enjoy a breezy walk and picnic after your visit.

Parking is free at both locations, and the walk is short enough for young kids to handle (especially with a stroller or wagon in tow).
