The islands have mostly home rentals and smaller crowds, with lots of affordable options.

Atlantic Beach

Head to the barrier island of Bogue Banks and visit Atlantic Beach if you need a little escape from the day-to-day. There are several beaches in the area, including Emerald Isle, so you can beach-hop for a few days during your vacation.
