Join us for an afternoon of wind, rain, sun, and other weather fun with WSOC-TV meteorologist Keith Monday and his media personality wife, Laurabree.  Keith’s inspiring book Weathering the Storm, which tells his journey from a young child who was scared of storms to a successful meteorologist on TV, will be read at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by a weather discussion about fun weather facts and myths.  Weather-related crafts and activities include rain sticks and storm cloud threading. A special planetarium show, Shelter from the Storm, will be shown at Noon and will focus on animal constellations and how their real-life counterparts take action during weather events. The Museum Store will have copies of Weathering the Storm available for purchase, and the Mondays will be available for book signing during the event.
