DESCRIPTION:This October\, celebrate autumn with leaf pressing! Build your 
 own plant press before going out on a short autumn hike to collect leaves 
 to start your own herbarium. You can start a collection to catalogue your 
 scientific discoveries or use your dried plants for future creative projec
 ts! Then have a chance to visit the preserved plant collection at the Dr. 
 James F. Matthews Center for Biodiversity Studies (located within the Reed
 y Creek Nature Center). For ages 12 and up. Adult participation and regist
 ration required if under 18. Must be able to walk up to 1 mile on uneven t
 errain.
